Tunable Strong Coupling in Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Nanowires (Adv. Mater. 34/2022)

چکیده
Nanowires In article number 2200656, Donglei Emma Fan, Yuebing Zheng, and co-workers achieve strong coupling between excitons Mie resonances in chemically synthesized transition metal dichalcogenide nanowires. The coupling-induced optical responses are further modulated a reversible way, enabling new class of tunable photonic devices.

Aging of Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayers.
Two-dimensional sheets of transition metal dichalcogenides are an emerging class of atomically thin semiconductors that are considered to be "air-stable", similar to graphene. Here we report that, contrary to current understanding, chemical vapor deposited transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers exhibit poor long-term stability in air. After room-temperature exposure to the environment for s...
متن کاملTwo-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) nanosheets.
This special issue is about two-dimensional transitionmetal dichalcogenides (2DTMDs), a family of materials consisting of over 40 compounds with the generalized formula of MX2, where M is a transition metal typically from groups 4–7, and X is a chalcogen such as S, Se or Te. Bulk TMDs have been widely studied over several decades because it is possible to formulate compounds with disparate elec...
متن کاملFlexible metallic nanowires with self-adaptive contacts to semiconducting transition-metal dichalcogenide monolayers.
In the pursuit of ultrasmall electronic components, monolayer electronic devices have recently been fabricated using transition-metal dichalcogenides. Monolayers of these materials are semiconducting, but nanowires with stoichiometry MX (M = Mo or W, X = S or Se) have been predicted to be metallic. Such nanowires have been chemically synthesized. However, the controlled connection of individual...

Box 23-166 Taipei, 10617, Taiwan e-mail: [email protected] The electronic and optical properties of transition-metal dichalcogenide (TMD) materials are directly governed by their energy gap; thus, band-gap engineering has become an important topic recently. Theoretical and some experimenta...
متن کاملStrain Modulation by van der Waals Coupling in Bilayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenide.
Manipulation of lattice strain is emerging as a powerful means to modify the properties of low-dimensional materials. Most approaches rely on external forces to induce strain, and the role of interlayer van der Waals (vdW) coupling in generating strain profiles in homobilayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) films is rarely considered. Here, by applying atomic-resolution electron microsco...
